Construction traditionnelle à bordées jointives calfatée très bien conservée, dont on ignore le chantier d’origine. Gréement : voile à livarde.
Dans une vie antérieure, le bateau était utilisé pour la pêche par une famille d'ostréiculteurs de La Seyne sur Mer. Accidenté sur un chantier lors d’une manutention, le navire a été délaissé puis racheté par un charpentier et un mécanicien, qui lui ont fait subir une importante restauration, au cours de laquelle la coque a été stratifiée.
Acquis par ses propriétaires actuels en 2019, BENJAMIN est visible à Antibes depuis 2022, pendant la saison hivernale au port Vauban et l’été au port abri de l’Olivette.

A very well-preserved traditional construction with planking and caulking, whose original yard is unknown. Rigging: sprit sail.
In a previous life, the boat was used for fishing by a family of oyster farmers from La Seyne sur Mer. Accident-prone at a shipyard during handling, the vessel was abandoned and then bought by a carpenter and mechanic, who carried out a major restoration, during which the hull was laminated.
Acquired by her current owners in 2019, BENJAMIN has been on display in Antibes since 2022, during the winter season in the Port Vauban and in the summer in the sheltered port of l’Olivette.
