2026, the transformation continues

Anse Saint-Roch

As part of the launch of Phase 3 of the Vauban Port modernisation project, which is due to begin in spring 2026, earthworks will commence in the Anse Saint-Roch area.

On this occasion, the top 30 centimetres of topsoil removed will be retained and temporarily stored in a section of the Simone Weil Garden, on the harbour side, within a clearly demarcated area secured by barriers.

This decision is part of a virtuous environmental approach, aimed at avoiding the removal of soil to storage sites or landfills, followed by its re-importation once the works are complete. The soil thus preserved will be reused for future landscaping of the port once the works are finished.

New Buildings and Modernized Infrastructure
