Before setting out to sea, you must:
- Check the local weather forecast, as wind and conditions for sailing or swimming can change rapidly.
- Check that all safety equipment is in good condition and suitable for the activity.
- Inform a friend or family member of your route and never overestimate your abilities.
- Once at sea, it is essential to respect designated swimming and sailing areas to avoid accidents.
