Fort Carré, built in the 16th century, stands proudly at the entrance to the port. Its fascinating history, which sheds light on the history of the area, its beautiful architecture based on the art of mathematics, its 43-metre high parapet walk offering a breathtaking view, and its protected 4-hectare park, with its typically Mediterranean flora and fauna, make this historic monument a place to discover.
Surrounded by the historic ramparts, the terraces of the Bastion St Jaume offer one of the finest views of the port and the bay of La Garoupe. Adorned with Jaume Plensa’s iconic Nomad, the Bastion St Jaume is a must-see in the Port Vauban.
The IYCA has a private helipad capable of handling 5-tonne helicopters.
The new Camille Rayon quay has relaxation areas for crews to make the most of the landscaped setting. The shaded areas are ideal for barbecues and outdoor sporting activities.
Overlooking the Gravette beach, the Sainte Claire esplanade offers an open space with a view of the ramparts of the Bastion St Jaume and the inimitable Cap d’Antibes.
