2026, the transformation continues

Tree Transplanting Works in Anse Saint-Roch

As part of the works related to the construction of future buildings in Anse Saint-Roch, we will be transplanting heritage trees. To ensure these operations are carried out safely, the affected areas will be temporarily closed to access and parking, and will be clearly marked with signage and barriers.

Zone 1: Entrance to Fort Carré car park
From 20 January to 30 January inclusive, access and parking will be prohibited at the car park entrance, opposite pontoon D8.

Zone 2: Next to the A.P.P.A club
From 25 January to 29 January inclusive, access and parking will be prohibited.

Zone 3: Simone Veil Garden – Anse Saint-Roch
From 26 January to 30 January inclusive, access will be prohibited in part of Simone Veil Garden. Parking will also be prohibited in the port parking spaces located along the edge of the garden.

Technical Interventions

As part of the ongoing modernization program of port Vauban, several technical interventions are planned during January 2026.

Ponton E4

From 19 to 23 January, the relocation of the dock head cabinet is scheduled, with the creation of a chamber on the roadway. This intervention may result in a temporary shift of the traffic lane.

IYCA

From 26 to 30 January, VRD works will be carried out for the installation of a barrier gate at the entrance of the IYCA. The first four parking spaces located after the North Pavilion, in front of the bastion, will be closed during the works.

Saint-Jaume Pedestrian Footbridge

A pedestrian footbridge now connects Antibes’ Old Town to the Échauguette lighthouse, accessible every day from 3pm until sunset.

A walk with a view

This footbridge extends the rampart walk, offering visitors a unique stroll along the upper part of the ramparts. Enjoy breathtaking views of the Camille Rayon quay and discover Antibes from a new angle.

Merli Pier

As part of our modernization program, Merli Pier is undergoing a transformation this winter to better meet your expectations.

Progress of the construction site

The redevelopment work is progressing: demolition of the current platform will be completed by the end of November, with the existing elements being cut up and then lifted away by crane. The anchors for the future structure will be installed in November, alongside the installation of rainwater drainage systems and settling tanks. Preparatory work for the manufacture of the new beam is also already underway. The project is still scheduled for completion by the end of March 2026.

A completely redesigned pier

For the 2026 season, discover a renovated pier, designed to optimize your comfort and everyday experience. The structure will be reinforced to ensure solidity and safety, while the technical equipment will be completely modernized: networks, electrical terminals, lighting… all while preserving the port’s aesthetic appeal.

Practical and pleasant amenities

The project includes:

  • 30 new parking spaces;
  • The creation of a new drinking water network;
  • The deployment of a new electricity distribution network;
  • Complete overhaul of mooring facilities;
  • Installation of a rainwater drainage network equipped with settling tanks;
  • Installation of new power supply terminals for ships;
  • Laying of exposed aggregate concrete quay surfacing;
  • Landscaping to create a more pleasant living environment.

Anse Saint-Roch

New Buildings and Modernized Infrastructure

Construction of three new buildings:

  • A building housing the Port Vauban offices, a banquet hall, and restrooms for boaters
  • An APPA building
  • An SRA building

As well as a waste collection point.

Schedule

  • March to July 2026: Excavation and structural work will be carried out simultaneously for the three buildings.
  • Summer 2026: The areas along the quays will be cleared to ensure optimal access and tranquility for boaters. Work will focus on the terre-pleins. A three-week break in August is planned before resuming work in the fall.
  • Winter 2026: Construction of a pumping station will take place on the current traffic lane.

Fishermen’s Area

The fishermen’s area will undergo a significant transformation between November 2026 and March 2027.

Improvements to Facilitate Work and Sales

The works include:

  • Reorganizing the net storage boxes
  • Installing a fixed sales stall, sheltered by a pergola, to facilitate the sale of fresh fish
  • Implementing measures to secure the equipment
