New composting site at Port Vauban

29 March 2025

On Saturday, March 29, a new composting site will be set up at Port Vauban in partnership with UNIVALOM.

This collection point, located near the APPA behind the sorting columns, will be equipped with four composting bins to allow boaters to sort and recycle their biowaste.

On this occasion, boaters are invited to collect their bio-bucket and meet the teams on-site to learn about the site’s operation from 9 AM to 12 PM. A welcome coffee will also be offered to share a friendly moment.

A bio-bucket is a small container specially designed for collecting biowaste. It allows for easy storage of fruit and vegetable peelings, meal leftovers, eggshells, and even dead leaves before depositing them in the port’s composting bins.
