Marine Biodiversity Conference at Port Vauban

4 September 2026

On Friday, 18 September 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Port Vauban will host a conference on environmental issues related to recreational boating and yachting, at the APPA (Association des Pêcheurs Plaisanciers d’Antibes) headquarters.

Led by Françoise Loquès, who holds a Ph.D. in marine biology, the conference will address Mediterranean biodiversity, the pressures it faces and plastic pollution.

A strong focus will also be placed on best practices for eco-responsible recreational boating, including waste reduction, anchoring that protects Posidonia seagrass beds and pollution prevention.

The conference is open to boaters, boating industry professionals and anyone interested in preserving the marine environment.
