Since 1 January 2022, Guarantee of Use Contracts (CGUs) have replaced the previous berth lease system at Port Vauban.
These contracts provide a long-term berthing solution for eligible vessels and form part of Port Vauban’s new approach to berth management.
Since 1 January 2022, Guarantee of Use Contracts (CGUs) have replaced the previous berth lease system at Port Vauban for vessels from 13 metres in length.
A CGU guarantees the contract holder access to a berth within a defined area of the port. It does not, however, grant exclusive use of a specific private berth.
The contract provides the opportunity to secure berthing at Port Vauban for a period of up to 21 years, in return for a financial contribution towards the port’s transformation and development works.
