Guarantee of use contracts (CGUs)

On 1 January 2022, guarantee of use contracts (CGUs) replaced the berth lease scheme for vessels over 13
metres long. This type of contract guarantees the signatory a berth in a specific port zone.

Although it does not ensure a specific private berth, it represents an opportunity to secure a berth in the port for up to 21 years in return for a financial contribution to the new port building works.
